Hi all! The following details are for a project entitled Project LIFE 5. More information on this project will be sent to you through your comm. heads so do check your emails! LIFE 5 will take place at the sea gypsy village school of Chao Thai Mai (Khao Lak region). In addition to English teaching, the organizers intend to assist with the set up of a livelihood programme for the sea gypsy villagers of Ban Tab Pla-Lam Pi (Rotary Community) using crab farming. If you signed up for this project, you will be hosted at the school there and spend time and energy with the primary school children and interacting with local villagers during the construction of crab farms. Please see attachments from your comm. heads for more details.
There will be 2 departures: 02-7 Dec and 06-11 Dec so that the overall impact of the programme will be maximised. All participants will be required to engage in Community Emergency Preparedness Programme and intense briefing prior to departure.
Deadline for signing up is 20 September 2007, Thursday.
I encourage all of you all to go for this fun and meaningful activity; I’m sure it will be enriching so do ask your parents for consent as soon as possible and get back to us if you all are interested. For members in funding comm., please note that this will be your first funding project to tackle on once promos is over so be prepared and stay focus ok?
